High School DxD is a Japanese light novel series. It is written by Ichiei Ishibumi and illustrated by Miyama-Zero. Then it was adapted both in Manga and Anime television series. HiroJi Mishima adapted the manga series which began in July 2010. Likewise, TNK adapted the anime series which has already 4 seasons. And the genre is comedy, harem and super-natural.
What is High School DxD all about?
High School DxD revolves around the character of Issei Hyodo. He is a student in Kuoh Academy, originally an exclusive school for girls, but it turned into a co-ed system. Issei Hyodo entered the school as a second-year student. However, everything changed when Yuma Amano asked her out for a date. This is also the time he discovered the secret of the school and his classmates.
After their date, Yuma revealed herself as a fallen angel and killed him. Fortunately, Rias Gremory, a third-year student brought him back to life. When Issei woke up the next morning, he thought everything was just a dream. However, when another fallen angel attacked him again, he noticed Rias naked in his room. Rias then revealed her true identity as a devil. As a result of his death in Yuma’s hand, Rias reincarnated him as a devil. Besides, he will be her faithful servant. This will be the start of his dream to become a high-class demon.

Passion Studios has confirmed the renewal of the fifth season. Besides, they had announced earlier that a sequel of High School DxD Season 4 is on its way. Likewise, they also confirmed that there would be 6th season to complete the current story arc.
Release Date
The last time we saw High School DxD was year 2018. It was then the last day of season 4. It has been 2 years and fans are very eager to know about the coming of High School DxD Season 5.
The producers and director of the upcoming season 5 have not confirmed anything yet about the release date. However, there are rumors and speculations going around. If everything turns okay, then the release date would probably late this year or mid-2021.

High School DxD Season 5 Plot
As everyone is waiting for High School DxD Season 5, a lot are also curious about this season’s plot. There are some expectations and speculations going around. However, the Director of the show has already decided what to put in the sequel. Accordingly, he is going to take a small part of the story from the light novels and adapt it to the anime. There is already enough material in the light novels, which can be easily adapted into the anime version of the series for season 5. Likewise, the story will still follow the manga series adaptation.
Well. High School DxD season 5 will continue on the Hero Oppai Dragon Arc. The arc started in the fourth season and included in the 9th and 10th volume of the manga series. Since the story is close to the manga adaptation, it safe to say that it will follow volume 11 and 12.
The story arc takes place during the Middle-Class Promotion exam. While Issei, Akeno and Kiba will prepare for the test, Koneko will begin to act suspiciously. This is because Koneko witnessed Issei and Ria’s closeness. The story takes an exciting turn when Azazel brings Ophis and the leader of Khaos Brigade to the Hyoudou Residence.
This could be a solution to the crisis of Season 3 where the author tried to put three light novels into 12 episodes in one season, and it failed miserably. Also, Season 3 of the anime seems out of topic from the source material, and fans got disappointed.
Ichie, the author of the series, finished the 12th volume of the series in 2012. If we look up light novels, there are still more materials for more seasons after the release of the fifth season.

The writer and the director had disagreements about the flow of the story. This started in season 3 where a lot of fans didn’t like it. As a result, for High School DxD Season 5, Passion Studio will take over the production team, and Yushifumi Sueda will be the Director.
