HBO’s The Vow is all set to shade light on the downfall of the NXIVM cult. The marketing company which is famous for all the things not very right has made its way into HBO.

NXIVM is a marketing company which conceals a secret sex cult behind the wellness and lifestyle services. Starting from several filmmakers, television actors to heiress, several names have their connection to NXIVM. The company has its reputation of a cult far and wide. The mastermind of the alleged cult is Keith Raniere. His followers know him as “Vanguard”. In 2019 he was in conviction for several misconducts. Some of were, sex trafficking, racketeering, possession of child pornography. Several conspiracies also make their way into NXIVM.

To throw a light on the ongoing of the cult, HBO is coming with a documented series, The Vow. The series was out on 23rd of August, 2020. It is a nine part series. It is the work of filmmakers, Jehane Noujaim and Karim Amer. TIME magazine describes the series as a humane and engrossing one. But also claims that at time it can be frustrating as well. In the series, some of the defected followers tell their stories in 9 episodes. Actress Sarah Edmondson is a part of the first episode of the series. The naration is done majorly by director, Mark Vicente and his wife Bonnie Piesse.

HBO’s The Vow is a peek into the inside of Hollywood. It as well shades light on the way women are led, treated and exposed to several wrongs and what toll it takes on them.
