Google had announced the new features in Google map and will launch very soon. Google map is an important app since it is the most used app for navigation. Around this time last year, a live view feature was brought to Google maps based on augmented reality. The feature uses the camera of the smartphones and Global Positioning System to the destination.

Google’s blog post has mentioned, “Arrows and directions are placed in the real world to guide your way,”. In other words, the purpose is to make the app more convenient to use for the people. Moreover, it said “helping you identify exactly where to make those tricky turns or which way to start your walking journey”. This means that the app will be more accurate than it ever was.

The recent new features in Google maps will show landmark on the live view feature. This will enable the user to see their exact location in the city, town or village. The landmarks are so precise that it shows the location in a building or any public place. The cities that will first experience the update are Amsterdam, Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin, Budapest, Dubai, Florence, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Kyoto, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Milan, Munich, New York, Osaka, Paris, Prague, Rome, San Francisco, Sydney, Tokyo and Vienna.

Around this weekend, the new features in Google maps will have appeared for the Android and iOS smartphone users. In order to make more usage of the app, the live view button is added to different places on the map. Apart from giving the directions, it can the button will come to show the navigation in transit.
