2020 MTV Europe Music Award nominations are out

2020 MTV Europe Music Award: Nominations for the 2020 MTV Europe Music Award are out. Lady Gaga, BTS, Justin Bieber, Dua Lipa lead the nominations for the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s ‘Rain on me’ is the top contender for best song and video. She is closely followed by BTS, Justin Bieber, and Dua Lipa.

What is the MTV Europe Music Awards all about: The MTV EMA is an award show by Viacom International Media Networks. Here they honor world-class music performances by artists in pop culture. Berlin Germany hosted The first EMA show in 1994.

The song Rain on me: It is all about pushing through the hardships to embracing success. Lady Gaga speaks about social issues and mental health in public. She admits because she went into the dark hole of depression and came out strong, she wants to spread awareness about it. She says its the songwriting that gave her pleasure more than therapy.

BTS’s dynamite: South Korean boy band BTS has given the hit song Dynamite. Big Hit Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment have released the song. It has got the  MTV Europe Music Award nominations for the year 2020. This song has elements like  Funk music, soul, and bubblegum pop.

Justin Bieber’s song Intentions was nominated for the best collaboration category. The artiste Quavo also features in the video. Music critics from all over the world have appreciated the song.

Dua Lipa is also a Nominee in the Latino category. They nominated her for the song  Don’t start now. Also a nominee for two Grammy awards.

These award shows are supposed to be held in November 2020. The delay is due to the safety precautions that are necessary due to COVID 19 pandemic. The world is waiting for the blast.
