It’s OFFICIAL!!! Resident Evil is arriving on Netflix. Approximately after one year of speculation, Netflix has finally confirmed that a live-action adaptation of Capcom’s survival-horror is in progress.
when will the Series air?
Netflix started the development of the series in 2019 but did not give a date for its release. however, there are rumors of it to air in the late 21.
Netflix did, however, release the no. of episodes. Resident Evil is said to have 8 episodes of 1 hour each. The series is produced by Andrew Dabb and directed by Bronwen Hughes. however, there is no information about the casting.
“Resident Evil is my favorite game of all time,” Dabb explained. “I’m incredibly excited to tell a new chapter in this amazing story and bring the first-ever Resident Evil series to Netflix members around the world. For every type of Resident Evil fan, including those joining us for the first time, the series will be complete with a lot of old friends, and some things people have never seen before.”
About Phase 1
As per Phase 1, it will start by Billie and Jade Wesker, fourteen-year-old sisters moving to New Raccoon City. As more and more time passed, the more they came to realize that the town is something much more than it seems. they also start to suspect their father may be concealing horrifying secrets which may cause the end of the world.
A second timeline that will revolve around the future. The timeline will start by showing a scene after one decade. Now, there is a fight for survival. About fifteen million survivors against more than six billion monsters — people and animals alike. infected with the T-virus, it’s truly a fight for survival. Jade, thirty years old, also a survivor, struggles in this New World. however, that’s not his only struggle. he also struggles with the secrets of her past which continuously haunts her.
