Finally the first look of the Xbox Series S unveiled. Microsoft’s cut-down next generation solace that carries the code-name Lock-hart. Thurrott posted an image in which he supposedly shows the solace’s design. At the same time, the source of image is not clear but leaker WalkingCat followed up with a short video. It shows the exact same design in relation to the Series X. Moreover, Analyst Daniel Ahmad endorses the image though he couldn’t confirm the price. WalkingCat’s video shows that Xbox Series S is much thinner than the Series X. This is the most amazing feature as it makes easier to fit under any kind of TVs.
Furthermore, it is also revealed that the system appears not to have a disc drive; as The Verge reported previously. If they are legitimate, the leaks show a white console that looks somewhat similar to the Xbox One S. It is depicted in vertical orientation, though the rotation of the Xbox logo suggests that may not be the primary configuration.
Xbox series S leaks with $299 retail price by the Windows Central. But will also be available as part of a $25 per month Xbox All Access plan; which will include Xbox Live and Game Pass. Meanwhile, Series X reveals to be $499 at retail or $35 a month. Both consoles will reportedly launch on November 10th.
Xbox chief Phil Spencer’s comments on “the next Xbox consoles” and the Series X name’s implication of another series. The Series S name has already shown up in leak controller packaging. if the unveiled information regarding the price is accurate; then it would be amazing to know that Series S is an affordable, attractive way to get on board with the next generation for anyone who doesn’t consider 4K a must-have.
Hopefully, we won’t have to wait for so long as most probably both consoles will reportedly launch on November 10th!!!
