An anthology on coronavirus
Anubhav said in a statement, “It will be an interesting bunch of names, to tell stories of an interesting time in our lives. We will all interpret this period – starting February/March 2020 – and we will all tell a story from it. This is such an interesting time, you know – even though I realize interesting may not be the best word“.
Sinha went on to say about the project that he also wanted Anurag Kashyap to be a part of this. It could not happen as Anurag is busy with another project. He said every story is different from the other. Anubhav explained that Hansal Mehta’s movie is ‘quite comic and quite tragic ‘ whereas Sudhir’s is quite political in a different way.
However, about his own story, he quoted,” I am still struggling with my story – I want to tell an atmospheric story, which is about fear. I live on the 20th floor and I can see a very large expanse of Mumbai from my window. It has suddenly started looking like a deserted, dead city.”
Talking about the project, Subhash said that the world has not seen anything like this ever before. This is a crucial period and it is right to explore stories around. He shared his excitement in doing this film with like-minded friends. He also expressed hope to begin filming by this November.
Anubhav will produce the film under his banner Benaras Mediaworks. The movie is yet to be titled. And, it is expected to release in 2021.
