Attack on Titan

The Japanese, dark fantasy television Attack on titan series/ seasons. Was adapted from the manga sequence. It was written and emblished by Hajime Isayama.

It is set in a fantasy world where mankind exists within districts circled by three humongous walls. That cover them from monstrous man eaters known as Titans.


Plot

The story follows the adventures of Eren Yeager. His friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, whose lives change forever after a giant Titan ruptures the walls of their home town. Asserting reprisal and to recover the world from the Titans. Eren and his friends join the Scout Regiment. An exclusive gang of soldiers who combat the Titans.

2013 season

Attack on Titan had broadcasted on the Mainichi Broadcasting System from 7th of april, 2013 to 29th of September, 2013. It later aired on Tokyo MX, FBS, TOS, HTB, TV Aichi and BS11. The anime had a few production issues that needed more animators with Wit Studios’ character designer, Kyoji Asano who then tweeted and searched for active animators to work on the anime.

The anime was assembled. To two animated theatrical films with a fresh sound acting from the same cast.

The first film Attack on Titan – Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow covers the first 13 episodes, released on 22nd of November, 2014.

While the second film Attack on Titan – Part 2: Wings of Freedom , accommodates and modified the existing episodes and adds a new opening and ending clip.


2017 season

The second season, anime series was declared on the opening day of the first theatrical film.

It was initially set to be released in 2016. It was later confirmed in the January 2017 issue of the Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine that the second season would have an opening in April 2017.

The second season was directed by Masashi Koizuka, with Araki as the chief director.

It ran for 12 episodes from 1st of April, 2017, to the 17th of June, 2017, on MBS and other television networks. A third compilated film recapping the events of the anime series’ second season titled Attack on Titan: The Roar of Awakening was released on the 13th of January, 2018.

2018-2019 series

The 17th of June, 2017. A third season was declared at the end of the second season’s final episode. With a release date for the 23rd of July, 2018.

A trailer for the third season was released on the 27th of April, 2018.                          The series’ third season aired in Japan on NHK General TV on the 23rd july, 2018, with its first part running to 15th of October, 2018.

Part 2 of the series’ third season aired from 29th April to the 1st of July, 2019. Hajime Isayama, the original manga’s author and illustrator, worked closely with the animators to ensure faithfulness of the plot and gave suggestions, as well. In 2018, it was revealed that Isayama regretted doing a certain part of the manga in a certain way. He wanted the animation studio to make some changes in it. The studio respected his desire, which resulted in the first part being slightly different from the analogous manga chapters. A fourth compilation film, Attack on Titan: Chronicle, will recap all three seasons. It is scheduled to release on the 17th of July, 2020.


2020 series

On airing the final episode of the third season on the 1st of July, 2019. It was announced that the fourth and final season of the anime series. Scheduled for release on Fall 2020 on NHK General. On the 29th of May, 2020, the final season had settled to have switched production studios to MAPPA.
