Good news for gamers in India!!, battlegrounds mobile India is set to be available for registration this year in May. The Indian version of the game by the Krafton company based in South Korea announced its release of the game after a ban was imposed on it late last year along with other Chinese apps. PlayersUnknown Battleground (PUBG) now referred to as Battlegrounds mobile was very popular in India before the ban with an estimation of over 175 million downloads. Contributing to the mobile gaming market in India which is worth over 1billion in 2021.
BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRE-REGISTRATION
The pre-registration was announced to be available on 18 May 2021. The pre-registration will be available on Android devices on GooglePlay. With it will include special rewards and exclusive items that they can use when the game is ready for download, unfortunately for IOS users, the pre-registration is not yet available for their devices and Krafton is yet to release a statement on when it will be for now all they can do now is wait. With the pre-registration being released, the is still no word on when the game will be launched, but the is hearsay on the timeline of the release date around 21 June 2021. For now, we will just have to wait on the official statement from Krafton. The game now has undergone a few modifications with the most obvious one the name, which is now Battlegrounds Mobile from it previously being referred to as PlayerUnknown Battleground (PUBG), a new avatar as well as other modifications put in place to prevent it from being banned again by the Indian government

Pre-registration is pretty straightforward. On your android device, you can go to Google Play using your phone where you find a preregister icon highlighted in green on the right of the screen. Given that you have signed in to your google account to access the play store services and if not, I advise you to sign in. when you click on the “preregister” it means that you have shown interest in the game and that once it launches it will automatically download to your phone and that if there is any notification on the game they will appear on your phone.

MODIFICATION OF BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA IN DETAIL
As I had mentioned, Battlegrounds mobile features a few changes. Krafton mentioned in a statement “Battlegrounds Mobile India will release with exclusive in-game events like outfit and features and will have its own e-sports ecosystem with tournament and leagues. The game will launch as a free-to-play- experience on mobile devices”. The game’s violence has been toned down, instead of blood splattering everywhere when an enemy is being hit a green hit effect is used instead.
Children under the age of 18 will need consent from their parents to be able to play the game it is stated that the children will need to verify their parent’s consent using their numbers, there is also an extra charge in the instore purchases for the app for minors. There is a time limit imposed for 3 hour game time for minors.
