In the May of 2018 former Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz revealed her retirement from the industry. In a recent interview with Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz revealed her real reason behind her retirement. However, the actress did not completely shun the idea of not making a comeback.

Cameron Diaz made an appearance on the show, “In Goop Health: The Sessions”. Diaz cited to the host, Gwyneth Paltrow that she resigned to attend peace. As well as in the show, the actress talked about her Wine business, her new mentality, her growth and the impact of her career on her personal life.

47 years old Diaz’s career spanned over 1994 to 2014.  Meanwhile, she was in nominations for the prestigious Golden Globes four times. The actress got her recognization from her work in ‘Vanilla Sky’, ‘Knight and Day’. ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and many more.

The actress stated that she needed time to work on herself and several aspects of her life. As well as she need to to work on several relations and build certain relationships in which she was absent for years.

Working in the movie industry can be very hectic. You have to be present for 12 hours a day for a month or more on the sets. This takes a toll on one’s both mental health and physical health. Family and friends do not get enough time as they ought to.

Cameron Diaz realized that she was never very comfortable in that kind of a lifestyle. Moreover, her presence in front of the camera and in the public interfered with several other aspects of her personal life.

When Paltrow asked Diaz what her feelings were, she replied,

“A peace. I got a peace in my soul.” She included, “I finally was taking care of myself.”

When  she was asked about the hectic schedule, she said,

“When you’re making a movie, it’s a perfect excuse — they own you. You’re there for 12 hours a day for months on end and you have no time for anything else”

She added,

“Actors are infantilized. We’re put in a position where everything is taken care of for us.”

on her public appearance, she said,

“There’s a lot of energy coming at you at all times when you’re really visible as an actor and doing press and putting yourself out there,”
