CGBSE Result 2020 : Girls outshine boys

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) released their 10th and 12th-grade results on Tuesday, June 23rd, at 11 am. CGBSE Result 2020: Girls outshine boys and according to class 10 and 12 CGBSE results this year, girls outshined boys in the overall pass percentage. The Board officials have said that they have awarded grace marks up to 20 marks to students. Students taking part in regular sports activities will receive bonus marks. The maximum bonus marks that can be given to each subject is 10 per cent.

Those subject papers which could not take place because of the pandemic will be marked based on the internal assessments of students. This year, a girl topped with 100 per cent marks in the class 10 Board exam. One of the officials of the CGBSE Board said that it is the first such instance where a student scored full marks in the CGBSE exam for class 10. The Education Minister Premsai Singh Tekam declared the CGBSE Results through a video conference in the presence of senior officials of the department.

About 78.59 per cent students who appeared in class 12 exam passed the Board exam. On the other hand, 73.62 per cent of students passed in the class 10 Board exam. Out of these, girls have recorded a pass percentage of 82.02 per cent, while on the other hand, boys recorded a pass percentage of 74.70 per cent. Similarly in the class 10 Board exams, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 76.28 per cent but the pass percentage for boys was at 70.53 %. An official from the Education Department said that last year, the total pass percentage of students who had appeared in class 12 exam was 78.43 per cent. However, for grade 10, it was 68.20 per cent.

4. Enter your roll number and captcha provide in the Result Portal.

5. Click on submit to view your result.

6. You will be able to see your result on the screen along with the subject wise marking and pass division.

7. Download your result or take a printout of it for future reference.

STUDENT ANALYSIS REGARDING THE CGBSE EXAM 2020

This year, more than 2.75 lakh students, including about 1.29 lakh boys and 1.46 lakh girls, had appeared in the CGBSE’s Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (for grade 12). On the other hand, more than 3.84 lakh students, including about 1.78 lakh boys and 2.06 lakh girls, had appeared for the grade 10 Board Examination. CGBSE Result 2020: Girls outshine boys and the exams began on March 2, but the exams could continue only up to March 20. The Board had to abruptly stop the rest of the pending exams from March 21 to March 31.

Furthermore, again in the first week of May, the CGBSE Board authorities announced the new dates for the pending exams. The remaining exams were going to begin on May 13. But looking at the worsening situation caused because of the Coronavirus, they had to cancel it once again.

In the class 12 exam, Tikesh Vaishnav has secured the first position with 97.80 per cent marks, followed by Shreya Agrawal who scored 97 per cent. Furthermore, Tannu Yadav from Takahatpur in Bilaspur secured the third position with 96.60 per cent marks. In the class 10 exam, Pragya Kashyap of Government HS School Jhargaon, Mungeli, has topped with a record 100% marks. And Prashansa Rajput from Bemetara secured the second position with 99.33 per cent marks. Furthermore, Bharti Yadav and Nikhil Sao shared third place by scoring 98.67 %.
