Jeep Compass is all set to introduce a special edition of its SUV named Night Eagle in India very soon. The teaser image was released on the company’s official Instagram page. New model is based on mid-spec Longitude Plus trim.

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle will be featured in black both for its exterior and interior. To be specific black detailing will be on the grille, around the window line, and along with black Jeep badges. Not to mention, even the 18-inch alloy wheels will be in gloss black. In addition, leather seat upholstery, fog lamps surround, infotainment screen, and AC vents will also be featured in black.

Furthermore, the Jeep Compass Night Eagle comes with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. There is push-button start with keyless entry and dual-zone automatic climate control.  Xenon projector headlamps, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, ESP, hill-start assist and parking sensors for safety are other major highlights.

The variant is powered with a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine with a maximum output of 163bhp and 250NM torque. There is an alternate 2-liter diesel unit with 173bhp and 350NM torque. Price is expected to be higher than the standard Longitude Plus variant, which starts at Rs. 22.48 lakh.

FCA India will launch the upgraded limited version of Jeep Compass at the start of 2021. The company is also planning to introduce a 7-seat version of the Compass; code-named Project 598 or Jeep ‘D-SUV’.
