Another child is on the way for Kit Harington!
Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie have announced that they are expecting their second child together. The “Games of Thrones” stars are already parents to their almost two-year-old son, whose name has not been made public, whom they met while playing on-screen lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte. Now, Mr. Harrington said on Friday’s broadcast of “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” that he was “terrified” but also excited about the new arrival.
He’s two and good. Yes, we believe he may be intelligent, Harington stated on Friday, February 3. Well, considering that we’re both actors, it’s shocking. We’re not sure how that got started.
He said, “Well, he likes applause,” in response to Fallon’s question about whether Harington wanted his son to be an actor. We congratulate him for his wonderful work each time, and we worry that this is encouraging him to act.
Happiness of First Baby
“We kind of sound like, ‘Eh, you might be too brilliant for this, go rescue the world. We have no choice because we are unwell,” Harington added. He’s extremely talented, though. He’s going to have the shock of his life since he will soon have a sibling or sister.
Before asking the actor if he was happy or frightened about the impending birth of his second child, Fallon congratulated him.
I feel terrified. You know you’re walking on clouds and dancing through daisies fields for nine months with the first baby…well, the man is, at least,” he added. “However, the reality check is significantly shorter this time. You quickly become reality.
We’re trying to prepare him for that,” said Harington, adding that he wasn’t sure if his son “conceptually grasped it just yet.”
We say “Mommy’s baby” while pointing to Rose’s belly. Mother’s child. And he says, “My baby,” pointing at his tummy.
When “Games of Thrones” was filming its second season, Harington and Leslie first got to know one another there. Leslie played the character Ygritte, who had an on-screen romance with Harington’s character, while Harington is most known for playing the role of Jon Snow, who will be the focus of an upcoming spin-off series.
During a Sunday Sitdown in April 2019, the actor discussed how he and his wife met at work. He told TODAY’s Willie Geist, “It just so happens that we met in the show, and we’ve always tried not to be defined by that. It’s simply a job we met on, and after the show ends, I think we can let go and be ourselves, which is a really lovely feeling,” he continued.
Harrington and Leslie as Modern Parents
On June 23, 2018, Harington and Leslie exchanged vows in Scotland during a ceremony held by a host of A-list celebrities. Leslie has spoken out about her husband’s past of substance misuse. The couple gave birth to a son as their first child in February 2021.
Even though the couple has kept their family life private, Harington talked about what it’s like to be a “modern parent” in an interview with People in September 2022.
“As a modern parent, there is a true sensation of being a bystander at times,” he told the site. “We are now getting more active in child upbringing.”
“Since you are not actively participating in the child’s development, there may be a real sense that you are unaware of what is occurring, what emotions are being experienced, or what the mother or your spouse is going through.”
Will the little toddler follow in the famous parents’ footsteps? He joked during the interview, “We believe he could be quite brilliant, which is odd considering we’re both actors. We’re not sure precisely where that’s come from.”
He loves receiving praise, so we always applaud him when he does anything good. We have been concerned that this has been encouraging him to pursue acting. You might be too smart for this, we’re a bit alike. Go save the planet; we’re sick; there was nothing we could do.
