KVS admissions 2020 updates

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has begun the process for KVS admissions 2020 today i.e July 20, 2020. The government organisation invites application for the admissions of class 1. So, parents can apply for their child’s admission in class 1 for the academic session of 2020-21. Parents can read the official notification at the web site of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan i.e kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in

However, the organisation would accept only online admission registration forms for class 1. Thus, there will be no offline mode for admissions in the year 2020-21. Further, the admissions for class 1 have started at 10:00 am today. And, the last date for online registration is August 07, 2020, up to 7:00 pm.

In addition, the admissions for class 2 onwards ( except Class 11) have also started from July 20, 2020. However, the notification says that the KVS admissions 2020 for class 11 will start within a week of the results of class 10th. Parents and applicants can read the notification Official notification

Moreover, the admissions for class 2 and above classes have begun at 8:00 am on July 20, 2020. The admissions will close at 4:00 pm on July 25, 2020. And, the admissions can be done through offline mode. However, for class 11th admissions, candidates may download the registration form Vidyalaya website as per the schedule for KVS admission 2020. Eligible age for all classes for KVS admission 2020

To get admission in any of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, a child must be 5 years old as on March 31, 2020. This is specifically for admissions in Class 1. However, the organisation may also consider the child for admission who is born on April 01.

NOTE 1 – There is no age restriction for admission in Class 11th. However, the student should seek admission in the passing year of Class 10th examination. Same is the case for admission of students in class 12th.

NOTE 2 – There is age relaxation by two years for students who are differently-abled.

Important documents needed for KVS admissions 2020

Parents need the following documents to apply for admissions of their ward in KVS schools for the academic session of 2020-21. This is specifically for Class 1 KVS admissions 2020. So, the details are as follows:

Firstly, scanned images of the Birth certificate of the child in.jpeg or .pdf format. The size of the file should be up to 256 KB
Secondly, the scanned image of the photograph of the child in.jpeg or .pdf format. The size of the file should be up to 256 KB.
The category certificate issued by the authorities of the state government or central government if the child belongs to SC/ ST/ EWS/ OBC (NCL)/ BPL category.
Transfer details of parents/ grandparents whose service credentials are being used during the admission.

General Instructions before filling the registration form

Parents who apply for KVS admissions of their child in Class 1 for the academic session of 2020-21 need to consider the following instructions. After that, they can proceed further and fill the registration form. So, the instructions are as follows:

Firstly, read the rules and guidelines of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The link is available here
Secondly, parents cannot submit multiple applications to the same Kendriya Vidyalaya for the same child.
Parents need to keep the following ready before filling the registration form. The things are-

An active mobile number with an Indian sim card.
A valid email address.
A digital or scanned photograph of the child for admission.
Details of government certificate in case you are applying for an economically weak section.

Candidate should fill the details correctly. No changes can be made after the application is submitted.
For KVS admissions 2020 under special provisions, as detailed in KVS guidelines click here. Please submit the online application form first. After that, contact the principal of the concerned Kendriya Vidyalaya directly. And, submit all the documents required under Special Provisions.
In case of admission in a single girl child category, do submit the online application form and upload required documents as any other admission application. Moreover, there is no need to contact the principal of the Kendriya Vidyalaya directly.

NOTE 1 – Mere the registration form fill up does not guarantee a right to admission to the child. Most importantly, KVS individual Vidyalaya will offer admission to the applicants based on available seats as per KVS guidelines.

NOTE 2 – Applicants will have to provide original documents at the time of admission. Only after examining the documents, individual Kendriya Vidyalaya will grant admission to a child.

How to apply for KVS admissions 2020

Parents need to follow certain steps to fill the online application form for class 1 admissions for the academic year of 2020-21. Further, are the details:

Firstly, one needs to visit the official web site i.e kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in
Secondly, click on the link “Click here to register”.
After that, read all the instructions carefully. And, click on “proceed”.
Now, fill the details like name of the child, date of birth of the child, Email ID, Phone number etc and register your child.
After signing up, Log in to the admission application portal.
Then, fill in all the required details in the application form.
Further, upload the required documents and photographs of the child.
Review the application form.
Lastly, click on “submit”.

NOTE – Parents can apply through Kendriya Vidyalaya app also. The application is available on Google Play store.
