Marseille vs PSG
World Cup rivals Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe gave Paris Saint-Germain a 3-0 win against club rivals Marseille. It helped them to give Ligue 1 a lead to eight points on Sunday.

Mbappe bagged double goals that Messi set up.Mbappe then returned the favor by laying on another for the Argentine forward as PSG.PSG played the game without the injured Neymar. They went higher with 60 points from 25 games by crossing the second-placed Marseille on 52.
The goal helped to cross Messi 700 goals at club level between Barcelona and PSG. France forward Mbappe became PSG’s joint record scorer with 200 goals. He leveled with Edinson Cavani.
PSG got knocked out of the French Cup in the last 16 by Marseille earlier this month. They now ended their three-game losing streak in all competitions by beating Lille last weekend.

Matteo Guendouzi created danger as Marseille pressed high and hard. However, Marseille got exposed on the counter. And the opponent got a goal in the 25th minute.
It was possible when Messi played Mbappe through. And he went into the area to beat Pau Lopez with a low shot.
The same thing happened reversed minutes later as Mbappe delivered a pinpoint cross for Messi.Messi tapped in from point-blank range to double the advantage. The highest record attendance of 65,800 crowd enjoyed the moment.
Marseille losing the track
Messi then failed to score in a sitter. And Mbappe got defended by Lopez after coming in the area by the Argentine again. It happened just before Marquinhos’ angled shot could not enter the goal post, making just wide pass. This made Marseille catch on the break.
Messi skillfully passed the ball into the path of Mbappe.He goaled with his left foot for his 16th goal of the season in Ligue 1.
Gianluigi Donnarumma stopped a goal by making a spectacular save from Nuno Tavares’ header in the 67th. It just blew any hope of a Marseille comeback. And PSG sealed a first clean sheet in six league games.
PSG Next Task
PSG will face Nantes at home before traveling to Bayern Munich. They will be playing their Champions League last-16 return leg. Now, they have to win after losing the first encounter 1-0 at the Parc des Princes.
