A lot of excitement is in the Air. After we got to know that Lana will be returning with another Matrix film. But unfortunately in Matrix 4, Hugo Weaving will not return to play our favorite Villain Agent Smith. That’s such a bummer. The Matrix franchise has made history with its unique cinematography, special effects, and the way the plots unfold. Matrix 4 would feature actors Carrie-Ann Moss, Keanu Reeves, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
In the trilogy of the Matrix Agent Smith formed the crux of antagonism. His role started as a supporting character who followed the orders of Matrix but went rouge soon. Now agent Smith thought that the only way to win from the humans was to take over Matrix. And he had almost succeeded too if not for Neo’s last effort. Ultimately he used himself as a Trojan horse and wiped out Agent Smith.
Hugo’s character agent was the primary antagonist in all the Matrix trilogy. And now we hear that in Matrix 4 Hugo weaving character has been pulled out. Fans are experiencing some serious FOMO. We were eagerly anticipating to see what our favorite villain had up his sleeve. Hugo was in between negotiating his return as agent smith but the plans fell through.
Reason Hugo Weaving is not returning
The reason that in Matrix 4 Hugo Weaving will not return as Agent smith is basically Scheduling problems. He has a contract with London theatre till the next April. While Hugo wanted to film in the summer the final schedule for Matrix 4 shooting was from February to May. Although now all plans have fallen through. But Hugo opened more about the issue and said that it was the director of Matrix Lana Wachowski who had finally pulled the plug. She thought Hugo will not be able to dedicate the time and energy that the project required because of his other commitments.
The premises and plot of Matrix 4 are a total mystery for now. So no one knows what is in store for them with this latest Matrix movie. But we do know that she has assembled a killer cast and with previous movies as parameters, we are sure Matrix 4 will also rock?
