Nicolò Melli Reportedly Wants To Leave Pelicans:
Nicolò Melli is an Italian-American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association.
According to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Melli is looking for new team. He played for Pelican as Forward. He doesn’t want to be the part of New Orleans pelican as he is often out of Rotation as per Reports. Melli has played 21 games this season averaging 2 points and 2.7 rebounds in 11.1 minutes of action.
Melli signed 2 years contract with pelicans back in 2019. It seems like contract is coming to an end this summer. Melli is a regular member of the Italian national team and for many years now. He can be the next big player who hails from Italy in next few years in NBA leagues.
In January 29th, Melli finished with five points (2-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two boards, two assists, and one steal in 16 minutes of a 131-126 win against Milwaukee.
His Recent match was against Celtics in which Melli tallied three points (1-7 FG, 1-7 3Pt), three rebounds and two steals over 17 minutes in Sunday’s 120-115 win over the Celtics.
Nicolò Melli statistics seems like average at first but it sure does helps in maintaining his teams winning status. Before joining pelican he was approached by many teams as well. Later he signed $8 million contract with pelicans.

In his Recent match, played in March 5, 2021 as per expert review he was playing just for 10 minutes per game. Which is obviously not enough of rotations. He also failed to score in his recent match, having Around 5 misses. Playing 10 minutes per game decreasing his value in the team drastically. It will be interesting to watch which team will recruit him if he leave the team after his contract period.
