Nintendo ties up with sharp for production of the Switch unit. Sharp will act as an assembler of switch unit. As Nintendo has to keep up with the soaring demands they have taken this decision. And in times of pandemic demands for switch is really high.

REASON FOR THIS TIE UP :
As demand is increasing they have raised their production units. Nintendo is producing 10 millions more switch than their usual target. Sharp will definitely help Nintendo to increase their production. So that they can meet the demand in the market.
Sharp and Nintendo occasionally work with each other. Sharp was a major assembler of Nintendo Famicom console. And provided some components for 3Ds as well.
