Half of 2020 is already over, but HMD Global is yet to release a new Nokia smartphone this year. The loyal Nokia users were eagerly waiting for any news about a new Nokia arrival. Their hope was a little heightened when Nokia 3.4, Snapdragon 460 SoC, 3GB RAM was spotted on Geekbench.
GeekBench cited the new Nokia model under the code-name DoctorStrange. This is not something new as Nokia is always making use of Marvel superhero names to codename their gadgets. DoctorStange was first spotted by 91mobiles.
Nokia 3.4 Specifications
Geekbench has also revealed certain specifications of the new Nokia model under the code-name DoctorStrange. Nokia 3.4 will power on Snapdragon 460 Soc and 3GB RAM, as spotted in Geekbench’s listing. This makes Nokia 3.4 the fourth unreleased smartphone that is rumoured to power on Snapdragon 460 Soc processor. The phone might come in other variants as well, but that is yet to be specified. The new model will run on Android 10.
The listing does not specify the motherboard like it does not specify the model of the Nokia phone. Listing the motherboard, Geekbench again makes use of the codename DoctorStrange.
Nokia has not yet revealed the name of the model, so it is far more away from revealing a launch date. But according to speculations, Nokia 3.4 might release in September this year, alongside the launch of Nokia 2.4. HMD Global revealed the launch of Nokia 2.4 back in July, also stating that it was to accompany the launch of Nokia 6.3 and Nokia 7.3.
Thus, HMD Global is set to launch a host of new Nokia smartphones in the coming months.
