PGIMER RESULTS 2020 UPDATES
The PGIMER Results 2020are finaly released. Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying percentile to be included in the merit list.

The COVID 19 pandemic has created a sudden disruption and delay in the education system across the world. But finally, PGIMER, Chandigarh, has declared the PGIMER results in 2020 for the July session on their official website. PGIMER stands for Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research. PGIMER conducts their entrance exam twice every year for admission to MS and MD programmes in the institute. This year, there are 306 seats vacant for admission to PGIMER. The seats include the courses of Masters of Surgery (MS) as well as Doctor of Medicine (MD). The HRD Ministry released the NIRF 2020 Rank list just last week. According to it, PGIMER Chandigarh ranks as the second-best institute among the medical colleges under NIRF.

PGIMER RESULTS 2020 UPDATES

PGIMER held the second session of exams for MD/MS, MD (Hospital Administration) on 14 June 2020. This exam was held for the new admission procedures for the July session. Along with PGI 2020 result, the institute also released the merit list of candidates selected for Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters of Surgery (MS) programmes. Moreover, PGIMER will soon publish a merit list of all the medical graduates who appeared for the exam.

STUDENT QUALIFYING DATA OF THE JANUARY ATTEMPT

In the January session of the entrance exam, 483 candidates qualified for the counselling rounds to get admission to MD and MS programmes in PGIMER, Chandigarh.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR PGIMER RESULT – PGIMER RESULTS in 2020

PGIMER declared the results on June 22. Follow the below-mentioned steps to check your PGIMER Result :

1. Visit the official website of PGIMER from the above-mentioned link.

2. Enter your login details such as username, password and the captcha code provided.

3. Submit the details and your result will be displayed on the screen.

4. Download your result and take a printout for future reference.

CUT OFF -: PGIMER ADMISSION 2020

The authorities will prepare a merit list based on the scores that the candidates obtained in PGIMER 2020 result. The merit list will display the ranks, names, roll numbers and other details of students. Those medical graduates who qualify for the counselling rounds for PGIMER Admission 2020 for the July session, the merit list will display their names. The institute will call these qualifying candidates for the counselling process as per their allotted schedule.

Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying percentile specified by the authority so that their names are in the merit list. It should be noted that securing the qualifying percentile in the PGIMER 2020 result does not guarantee your admission to the MD or MD courses. You will have to go through the counselling process after the declaration of results. Those candidates who will fail to obtain a percentile more than the PGIMER cutoff 2020 will not have their names in the merit list. The authorities will announce the marks corresponding to the PGIMER 2020 cutoff percentile along with the result.

CATEGORY WISE MERIT LISTS AND CUTOFFS

The category-wise PGIMER 2020 cutoff percentile required for admission are mentioned below. PGIMER aspirants from general/sponsored/deputed category should obtain a percentile of at least 55 in the entrance exam. On the other hand, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories should score a minimum of 50 percentile. And Bhutanese candidates should obtain a percentile of at least 45 in the online entrance exam. The institute will publish the merit list in a total of nine category-wise PGIMER merit lists. These various categories are mentioned below :

General category

– SC (Scheduled Caste)

– ST (Scheduled Tribe)

– OBC (Other Backward Classes)

– RAC (Rural Area Candidates)

– Sponsored candidates

– PwD (People with Disability)

– Bhutanese National

– Foreign National (NRI/OCI)
