Rajasthan Government has taken the decision to cancel Rajasthan University Exams for Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses.  Further, This decision applies to all the Universities, Colleges, Technical institutes in the state. Although, the government has not released an official notification yet.

In addition, the CM has tweeted on July 4, 2020, about the cancellation of the University exams 2020. The government has decided such because of the current situation regarding the pandemic Covid-19. The official site is uniraj.ac.in

Cancellation of Rajasthan University Exams?

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mr Ashok Gehlot, has come to the conclusion that University exams will not take place for Undergraduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses. The decision took place after the meeting of concerned authorities with the Chief Minister on July 4, 2020.

The Chief Minister, Mr Ashok Gehlot, has tweeted on his twitter account on Saturday, July 4, 2020. The CM of Rajasthan has made a statement regarding Exams. He said, “No exams will take place for UG and PG courses in any University, College, or technical institution of the state.”

Reasons for the Cancellation of Exams

The state has decided to cancel the Rajasthan University Exams. As we all know about the ongoing pandemic of Corona Virus, the state has also considered the current situation. So, for the safety of the students, the state has made this decision.

In addition, the student’s groups also protested. These groups were demanding cancellation of exams. These students’ groups also include NSUI and ABVP as well. They had taken the demands to the social media for cancelling the exams and for promotion to the next classes. They have also demanded a fee waiver for the upcoming academic session.

The Rajasthan University had released a notification of Tentative Exam schedule on the official website. the notification of date sheet released on July 2, 2020. In this notification, The undergraduate courses’ exams would begin from July 15, 2020, to September 07, 2020.

Re-admission in Rajasthan University

Firstly, the Rajasthan University had released a notification on June 30, 2020, for the academic session of 2020-21. The notification stated that the admission date for first and second-year students gets expanded from June 30, 2020, to July 05, 2020. This notification applies to both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students.

Further, the university extended the date from July 05, 2020, to July 10, 2020. The Rajasthan University has issued another notification on July 04, 2020, on its official website.

Conclusion

The state of Rajasthan has decided to cancel the Rajasthan University Exams as well as the exams for other colleges, universities, and other technical institutions. There was a meeting held at the residence of the Chief minster, Mr Ashok Gehlot, where the concerned authorities together made this decision.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan announced the cancellation of Rajasthan University exams and all other educational institutions on twitter on Saturday, July 4, 2020. so, the university will promote all students to the next classes.

However, the official notification is yet to be released. In addition, the university will promote all The Union Ministry of Human Resources and Development will soon release the guidelines for the assessment of the students.
