Simon Cowell replaced on Britain’s Got talent with Ashley Banjo

The celebrity judge Simon Cowell replaced on Britain’s Got Talent post his back injury. Diversity star Ashley Banjo is the replacement of Simon on the show.

The celebrity judge of Britain’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell is now not on the show anymore. Cowell recently went through a back injury. He fell off from his electric bike at his family home in Malibu. The actor had to go through several medical procedures. Now, Simon has a metal rod in his back and needs complete rest.

Simon Cowell Breaks back

Simon is replaced by the 31 years old Ashley Banjo. Ashley became a well-known name back in 2009. His claim to fame was the very same show that he will now be judging, Britain’s Got Talent. Banjo along with his dance group, Diversity was a part of the 2009 Britain’s Got Talent and also was its winner. The dance group after battling with vocalist Susan Boyle and saxophonist Julian Smith emerged as the winner of the show. Banjo will now judge the show in replacement of Simon Cowell.

Simon and Ashley’s words

Simon is now recovering from his back injury after his surgery. On the subject of his replacement on the show, Cowell said,

“Ashley will be a fantastic addition to the panel. He knows the power of the show and the responsibility of it”

he added,

“I couldn’t think of a better person to sit in my seat whilst I follow doctor’s orders. I hate that stupid bike.”

However, Simon will keep giving his valuable feedback for the period he is away from the show. On his entry into the show as a judge, Ashley said,

“Walking on that stage as a 20-year-old street dancer from East London and now I am walking out there and stepping in for the big man.”
