SSC CHSL 2021: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India will conduct SSC CHSL Exam for the year 2021. Also, it is a National Level Examination. 1. Notification of CHSL Positions:

  • The Notification of SSC CHSL 2021 is yet to come out. However, it will tentatively come out in November 2020.

2. Important Dates:

  • The Arrival of Notification: November Week 1, 2020
  • Availability of Application Form: November Week 2, 2020
  • End of Application (Last Date): December Week 1, 2020
  • Issue of Admit Card: February 2021.
  • Date of Examination- March 2021.
  • Result TIER I – No announcement.
  • TIER II Examination- August 2021.

3. Eligibility Criteria:

3.1. Age Limit for the CHSL Vacancies:

  • For the SSC CGSL 2021, the minimum age of the applicant should be 18 years.
  • On the other hand, the candidate’s age should be a maximum of 27 years.

3.1.1 Age Relaxation:

  • The relaxation of age for OBC applicants is 3 years.
  • On the other hand, the relaxation of age for ST and SC candidates is 5 years.
  • For the Physically Handicapped (PH) people, there is an age relaxation of 10 years.
  • Also, for the people who are PH and belonging to OBC background will have a relaxation of 13 years.
  • If the candidate is PH, besides, if they are from ST or SC background then they will have an age relaxation of 15 years.
  • However, for the Ex-Servicemen, the relaxation of age is 3 years.
  • The Civilian Employees of Central Government can apply for these posts for up to 40 years of age.
  • If the Civilian Employees of Central Government are ST or SC then they can apply till their age is 45 years.
  • Disabled Defence Personnel has an age relaxation of 3 years.
  • Whereas, the Disabled Defence Personnel from ST and SC category have an age relaxation of 8 years.
  • The Widows and Divorced Women can have an age relaxation of up to 35 years.
  • On the other hand, the Widows and Divorced Women from ST and SC categories can have a relaxation of up to 40 years.
  • The Armed Force Service Clerks who are in the final year of colour services can have an age relaxation of up to 45 years.
  • Whereas, the Armed Force Service Clerks who are in the final year of colour services belonging to ST or SC category can have up to 50 years of age relaxation.

3.2 Educational Qualification for the CHSL Vacancy:

  • The applicants should be at least 12th pass out. Nonetheless, they can even have an equivalent qualification. But, the institute should have recognition. They should either have recognition from a State Government of Central Government.
  • For the role of Auditor General of India (C&AG), the candidates should have had a Science Stream in the 12th Standard. Besides, mathematics is mandatory in 12th Standard.
  • Also, the qualification for Data Entry Operator is the same as that of C&AG.

4. Application Fee:

  • The General caste applicant will have to do a payment of Rs. 100/-
  • However, the application fee is exempted for the applicants who are from ST/SC/PH categories.

4.1 Payment Modes:

The applicants can pay through:

  • Debit Card or
  • Credit Card or
  • Net Banking

5. Process of Application in SSC CHSL 2021:

The application form will be available in the Official Website of SSC at the beginning of November 2020.

Step to Follow:

  • The candidates will have to fill their credentials in the form.
  • They should have their documents ready to avoid discrepancy.
  • Also, they should have a scanned passport size photography. Besides, the size of the photograph should be of the size 4kb to 12 kb. On the other hand, the resolution must be 100 pixels in width and 120 pixels in height.
  • In addition to a photograph, the candidates should have a scanned copy of their full signature. The size of the signature must be from 1kb to 12kb. On the other hand, the resolution must be- height 60 pixels. The width of the photograph should be 140 pixels.

6. Tentative Vacancy in SSC CHSL 2021:

The Officials of SSC will announce the number of vacancies soon. In the previous year, the total vacancies were 4893. On the other hand, in the year 2018, the total vacancies were around 6000. 7.SSC CHSL 2021 Syllabus:

The SSC CHSL 2021 Exam mainly has Four subjects:

  • English Comprehension: The main topics present in this subject are Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms. Also, Verbal Ability, Passive & Active Voice. Reading Comprehension is also important.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Mensuration, Geometry, Interest are the topics present. Besides; Quadratic Equations, Profit loss, Ration& Proportion etc are present.
  • General Reasoning: Verbal, and non-verbal reasoning.
  • General Knowledge: Scientific Research, Current Affairs are important topics. Entertainment, Important Dates are also present. Besides, Static General Knowledge and Important Schemes are present.

8. Pattern of SSC CHSL 2021 Exam:

  • The SSC CHSL 2021 Exam happens in three Tiers:
  1. 1st Stage- TIER I
  2. 2nd Stage- TIER II
  3. 3rd Stage- TIER III

TIER I:

  • The exam will happen in Online mode.
  • Besides, Duration is  1 hour/60 minutes.
  • Also, the exam pattern will be Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.
  • There will be a total of 100 Questions.
  • Every correct answer will provide 2 marks to the candidates. 1.e. The Total is 200 marks. Whereas, each wrong answer will deduct 0.5 marks (Negative Marking) from the total marks.
  • The Question papers will be in 2 languages. English and Hindi. The exception being the Language Section.
  • There will be 25 Questions each in all the subjects. i.e. the English Language section will have 25 Questions. Also, this section carries 50 marks in total. Similarly, the other subjects also have 25 questions and a total of 50 marks.

TIER II:

  • This TIER will happen in Offline Mode.
  • The types of questions will be Descriptive.
  • Besides, the total Duration will be 1 Hour.
  • This TIER will carry 100 marks.
  • The candidates have to write an Essay. The number of words should be between 200 to 250.
  • Besides, they will have to write an Application or a Letter. The number of words should be between 150 to 200.

TIER III:

  • DEO  posts: The candidates of DEO posts will have to appear for the Skill Test. They will have to go through a Key Depression Test. They will give 2000 to 2200 Key Depressions. Besides, the duration will be 15 minutes.
  • DEO posts in the Controller Office & Auditor General: The candidates will have to undergo a Key Depression test. They will give 3700-4000 Key Depressions. Besides, the duration will be 15 minutes.
  • JSA, LDC, SA, and PA Posts: For the candidates appearing for these positions, there will be a Typing Test. The English Medium Candidates will have to Type 35 words per minute. On the other hand, the Hindi Medium candidates will have to type 30 words per minute.
