Sundar Pichai was born on 10th June 1972. He is the Cheif Executive Officer (CEO) of Alphabet Inc. And Google.

He has the citizenship of both India and America. Though, he was born and brought up in Tamil Nadu. His graduation degree is from a well-known engineering college in India that is Indian Institue of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.

Also, after that, he went abroad and attained ME from Stanford University. Further, pursued MBA from Wharton School of the University Of Pennsylvania.

Currently, he is a successful CEO. Also, he is planning to take major steps for India to develop.

Any kind of natural disaster comes up suddenly. There is no prior serious warning for the people. To detect major earthquakes or other disasters.

If we will be well aware of the upcoming disaster. Correct measures can be taken and life can be saved.

Sundar Pichai’s tweet says, “is it possible to detect an earthquake with submarine cables? We think it might be.”

An experiment is recently conducted by the firm. To see if Subsea fibre optic cables can be used for earthquake and tsunami warning. And, the results were positive.

The company posted a blog. Detailing how google plans to detect earthquakes. The blog says,”Last October, an idea came to us: we could detect an earthquake. Based on spectral signatures—signatures performing. Spectral analysis of strokes parameters to look at frequencies that are typical of earthquakes.”

Google started working on this since, 2013. But, the first experiment conducted by Google was in 2019. Firstly, there was no state of polarisation (SOP), that could detect any earthquake. Google further stated in the blog post,” then on January 28th 2020. We detected a magnitude 7.7 earthquake. off of Jamaica—1500 km away from the closest point of one of our cabins.”

Since then, the company have detected modest-sized earthquakes in Mexico and Chile.
