On August 13 night, Nas and Hit Boy released their new track, Ultra Black. In the song, they dissed the rapper and song writer, Doja Cat. The song will be part of Nas’ upcoming album, King’s Disease.
Ultra Black is the first song from Nas’ upcoming album. The album will be released on the 21st of August in the current year. Evidently, One of the lines of the rap in the song mentions Doja Cat. The line accuses Doja of hatered towards self. He also takes an aim at the texture of Doja Cat’s hair. Also, He mentioned that Doja Says several things that would not be considered prideful. Also he accused the female singer of not being Pro-Black. The line which mentions Doja says,
“Sometimes I’m over-black, even my clothes are black/Cash Money with the white tee and the soldier rag/We goin’ ultra black, unapologetically black/The opposite of Doja Cat, Michael Blackson black.”
Why Doja Cat?
People turned their back to Doja Cat after she tweeted,
“Remember when people said I was black when I had a #1 along side 3 other black women but now the same people wanna say I’m white? Maybe I’m not the one here with “identity issues”. ? … Deleted my last tweet because someone brought up a very valid point about it. My response was that I’m standing up for myself because I know what the truth is.”
After the release of the song, the internet is on fire. The unapologetic behavior of Nas has made the fans to think if that was bold or over the top. The allegations on Doja are for not taking pride and for not embracing her black roots.
