WPL Auction 2023 : The list of sold and unsold players

WPL 2023 Auction Live:

Smriti Mandhana, the opening player for India, made money quickly when the Royal Challengers Bangalore paid 3.40 Cr to buy her, making her the first choice in the history of the Women’s Premier League auction. Deepti Sharma, an all-around talent who cost UP Warriorz Rs 2.6 crore, is now the second most expensive Indian player.

In WPL Auction 2023 the Mumbai Indians’ Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who cost almost half as much as Mandhana at Rs. 1.80 crores, was a considerably better deal. Delhi Capitals successfully bid Rs 2.2 crore for Jemimah Rodrigues, securing their first player of the auction. Shafali Verma, the captain of the Indian team that won the U-19 T20 World Cup, receives a successful proposal of Rs 2 crore from Delhi Capitals.

Ashleigh Gardner, an off-spin all-rounder from Australia, selected in the first round and cost the Gujarat Giants, owned by Gautam Adani, Rs 3.20 crore.

Star Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry bought by RCB for a cool Rs 1.70 crore. Sophie Devine, the captain of New Zealand, bought by RCB for a pittance at a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Out of a total budget of Rs 12 crore, RCB already spent Rs 5.60 crore. To achieve the needed squad size of 15 players, they must buy another 12 players with the remaining Rs 6.40 crore. Sophie Ecclestone, a left-arm spinner for England, joined UP Warriorz for Rs. 1.80 crores.
