The successor to 4G, the fifth generation of mobile cellular networks has arrived shaping the future of technology and inching close to a hyper-connected smart world. While 5G mobile in India have already been launched, it is expected to go mainstream by the next year, that is, by 2021.

The first 5G-ready mobile handset in India is Realme X50 pro and was made available in the country since February 24, 2020. This model has come invariants in India – the base model comprising of 8 GB of RAM and comprises 128 GB of internal memory and is priced at INR 39,999. The top-variant of the device boasts of 8 GB of RAM and a massive 256 GB of internal storage and is priced at INR 44,999.
Upcoming launches :
One plus 8 series phones – One plus 8 and One plus 8 pro – are also both 5G ready. The One plus 8 pro model also boasts of over the top perks including dust and water resistance, better display, better camera hardware, and wireless charging. However, One plus 8 has been said to be more handy and manageable. While One plus 8 has been priced at INR 41,999, One plus 8 pro costs INR 54,999.
Vivo also launched it’s VIVO IQOO 3 in India on February 25, 2020, and the handset is also 5G ready. The phone runs on Android 10 OS and is supported by a powerful battery (4370 MAH) and an Octacore-processor. It runs on 6 GB of RAM and the screen is sized at 6.44’’. The smartphone is priced at INR 36,990 in India.
Another hit is Samsung’s Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra with an extraordinaire 12 GB of RAM. It was launched on March 16, 2020, and its screen is sized at 6.7’’. This comes with a powerful 5000 MAH battery and runs on the Android 10 OS octa-core processor. It is priced at INR 97,900.
