About MS Dhoni and his quarantine schedule

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the best Indian Cricketers and has captained the Indian Cricket team in limited over format from 2007 to 2016 and 2008 to 2014. Under his captaincy, the Indian cricket team won the 2007 ICC World Twenty 20, the 2011  ICC Cricket World Cup, the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cups, and 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. MS Dhoni is widely known for his helicopter shot and best wicket-keepers. He is considered the highest run-scorer and effective “finisher” in limited-overs.

Last year, he was the captain of Chennai Super Kings and this was the reason for the team victory. Mahi has been received many awards, including the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 2007, the ICC ODI Player of the year award in 2008, and 2009, the Padma Shri, The Padma Bhushan, and India’s third-highest civilian honour.  On 1 November 2011, the Indian Territory Army bestow the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel to Mahi. Kapil Dev was the first cricketer to receive this honour, MS Dhoni is the second to receive this honour.

Dhoni is the highest-paid athlete and sixteenth most remarkable athlete in the world. As a captain of the Indian cricket team, Dhoni is the first who wins all three ICC limited-overs trophies (Champions Trophy, World Cup, and The World Twenty 20). He also took the Indian Cricket Team to the first position in the ICC Test ranking. In 2011, Time Magazine involve Dhoni as one of the “best influential people” in the World. In 2016, a film M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story is a biopic of Dhoni, based on his life. This film was made upon his cricketing career.

During the situation of Coronavirus Pandemic, all cricketing action has put on a hold. COVID-19 has also effected the sporting scenario, several major tournaments have either been off or postponed. The IPL 2020 has also been postponed to avoid the spread of coronavirus. Due to this vulnerable time, many cricketers are spending their quarantine time with their families. Several Cricketers use social media including Instagram and Twitter to interact with their fans in the quarantine period.

MS Dhoni who was ready to come back to the cricket through IPL 2020, has been spending this quarantine period with his family in Ranchi. In Lock down, MS Dhoni has been staying in Ranchi which is situated outside of the city. Dhoni’s wife shared many pictures with Dhoni on her Instagram during the Quarantine period. Amid the lock down, Sakshi had shared some pictures of the sunsets from their house and wrote, “ the pollution has reduced drastically and has enhanced the environment even more”.

We cannot deny that MS Dhoni is taking full advantage of quarantine time. He has been spending quality time with his daughter Ziva at his farmhouse amid the lock down. Dhoni is utilizing most of the unwanted break triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak. Dhoni’s wife Sakshi gave fans a glimpse of the adorable relationship between Dhoni and his daughter Ziva. His wife and his daughter have recently been spending time together in the quarantine period. Dhoni was seen as completing his daddy duties Whether he is taking Ziva for bike ride inside his beautiful Ranchi farmhouse. Star athlete Dhoni and his family have quarantined themselves at their farmhouse and maintain social distancing and staying at home.

Furthermore, Dhoni decided to do something in his so much free time. He has been working with a gardening machine to beautify the lawn. Dhoni is busy in gardening, while Ziva is doing cleaning the garden area and collecting all the dried leaves. Sakshi captured all these adorable moments and shares videos on her Instagram.

Support to the Nation

Dhoni has been donating money to help Daily Wage Earners and their families in Pune amid the COVID-19 Crisis. Indian cricketer Mahi who has always come to contribute to the humanitarian crisis again donating money on a crowdfunding website Ketto, Foundation in Pune. This foundation will support 100 families for 14 days during the nationwide lock down.

In Maharashtra, there have been several COVID-19 infected patients are identified. So, Pune is one of the worst-hit cities of infected people by the novel virus. MS Doni’s donation will be used for the worst affected people by the Coronavirus outbreak. The relief kit includes basic items such as flour, soup, rice, grains, oil, tea, Biscuits, sugar, spices, pulses, etc. After Dhoni’s donation, many cricketers like Indian skipper Virat Kohli, BBCI president Sourav Ganguly, and Shikhar Dhawan have been come at the forefront to face this critical situation. Several people are also contributing to aid the medical world across the world.

Moreover, Mumbai’s police are giving an important message to the people with the help of MS Dhoni’s two pictures. The objective of this message is to advise the citizen to stay inside at their home and spend time with their family during the lock down as much as possible.
