The year 2020 is giving tragic surprise to mankind every month. On 7th August 2020 the country witnessed another tragic incident. Air India Flight IX-1344 on Friday evening crashed while attempting to land at the Karipur International Airport. According to reports the flight skidded while landing with 190 people,184 passengers and six crew members. Among them 18 dead so far recorded ,14 are adults (seven males and females each) and four are children.
It was such a tragic incident, even the Pilot and the Co-Pilot are among those dead. Currently 149 passengers hospitalized. Where 23 of them are with serious injuries.

Air India’s new logo
To mourn their deaths Air India turned their logo to black and white. Previously their logo was red and white in colour. Red as the dominant colour with shades of yellow against the white background.
On Saturday the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said all the accident victims to test for COVID – 19 including those who died in the crash. Till now only one victim is tested positive for corona virus. Even the Chief Minister also announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of each passenger who died.
All the dead were identified. As of now total 23 passengers discharged. The video of the aftermath of the tragic moment shared in each and every level of social media platform.
On Saturday evening Air India’s official handles on social media updated their cover and profile photos with its trademark logo appearing in white against the black background to offer condolences to the families of the demised during the Kozhikode plane crash. Other flight operators also offered their condolences.
