Killing hundreds and injuring thousands Beirut explosion had created a fearful scenario on 5th August. Also did a massive destruction of the city. Massive explosion at the port in Beirut took place at around 6 PM, local time on Tuesday.
Beirut is the capital of Lebanon. Also it is the capital business city. Along with the business hubs, many residential areas were in the surrounding of the explosive point.

Almost around 135 people lost their lives and more than 5,000 wounded. Hundreds went missing, search party is still on. Lebanon’s Health minister fears the raise of deaths after the full search. Prime minister of Lebanon’s said the investigation would focus on 2,750 metric tons (estimated ) of the explosive ammonium nitrate stored at a warehouse. Also in an interview to a reporter the PM said “We are witnessing a real catastrophe”.
The incident took place at 6:07 p.m. local time Tuesday near Beirut’s port, shattered glass,flipped cars damaged buildings etc. Even 10 Km away home was damaged said witnesses. The videos of the explosion was all over the social media and is on trending. Netizens are praying for the quick recovery of Beirut. Though many charities came forward to help Lebanon.
According to reports a highly explosive material, was stored at a port of the warehouse over the past six years without preventive measures. Lebanon has allocated a loss of 100 billion Lebanese pounds.
Previously in September the county lost some 90% of its currency value. The people were already suffering to meet their basic need. Amid that the explosion seems death trap to them. More than thousands are homeless now. Beirut citizens are helpless and hoping to get help from the government.
