BHU UET 2020 Exam Update

BHU ( Banaras Hindu University) has postponed the BHU UET 2020 Exams. BHU has issued an official notification on May 5, 2020. The notification is in PDF Format. The notification says, UET exam 2020 scheduled between May 18, 2020, to May 29,2020, stand postponed. Read the official notification here

Therefore, the institution will soon release revised dates for the UET 2020 exam. The official site of BHU is bhuonline.in

The submission of application form started from January 30, 2020, to March 12, 2020.

List of Courses Under BHU UET 2020 Exams

The postponement of exams for UET contains a total of 12 courses. The following courses are as follows:

  • B.A (Hons.) – Arts, Social Science
  • B.Sc (Hons.) – Maths, Bio, Agriculture
  • LL.B (Hons.)
  • B.A LL.B. (Hons.)
  • B.Ed
  • B.ED in Special Education
  • B.Com (Hons.)
  • B.Com (Hons.) – FMM (Financial Market Management)
  • B.P.ED

Eligibility Criteria

Banaras Hindu University UET 2020 has set the following eligibility criteria for the following courses.

B.A (Hons.) – Arts / Social science
  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks in the
    aggregate.
  • AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2020.
B.Com (Hons.) / B.Com (Hons.) FMM
  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with 50% minimum in total.

NOTE – In addition, Student should have one of the following subjects:

  • Commerce/ Economics/ Maths
  • Computer Sc.
  • Finance/Financial Markets Management
  • Vocational courses (related to Commerce)

Further, the Student must have passed one of these subjects.

B.Sc (Hons.) – Maths/ Bio
B.Sc (Hons.) Bio
  • Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination with at least 50% marks in total.
  • Students must have passed in Physics, Chemistry plus any one of the following: Biology, Geology and Geography.
  • AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2020.
B.Sc (Hons.) Maths
  • Similarly, Passed 10+2 or equivalent Examination securing a minimum of 50% marks.
  •  Further, Students must have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry plus any one of the following:: Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology and Geography.
  • AGE: Not to be more than 22 years on 1st July 2020.
B.Ed ( Bachelor in Education)
  • Candidates with minimum 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in the following subjects:
  1. Sciences/Social Sciences
  2. Humanities/Commerce
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR Technology with specialization in
    Science and Mathematics with 55% marks
  • A candidate must have studied at least one School subject* at the graduation level or post-graduation as the main subject.

BHU UET 2020 Exam Update

B.ED in Special Education
  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor‟s Degree and/or in the Master‟s Degree in the following subjects.
  1. Sciences/Social Sciences
  2. Humanities/Commerce
  3. Bachelor‟s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
  • A candidate must have studied at least one School subject* at the graduation level or post-graduation as the main subject.
LL.B (Hons.)
  • B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com./ Shastri (at least 10+2+3 pattern) securing a minimum of 50% marks in
    aggregate OR
  • any other Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern recognized by the Bar Council of India.
  • Course securing a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate considering all the subjects in the three years
    (aggregate being calculated as mentioned above)
B.A LL.B. (Hons.)
  • An applicant who has successfully completed/ is appearing in Senior Secondary School (10+2)
  • Candidates who have passed (11+1, “A” level in Senior School Leaving Certificate course) examination from a recognized University of India or outside. However, the applicant who has obtained 10+2 or Graduation/Post-graduation through open Universities System shall not be eligible for admission to 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Course.
B.P.ED (Bachelors in Physical Education)

Applicant should have any of the following qualifications.

  • Bachelor‟s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks
  • Participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games.
  • Bachelor Degree in Physical Education with 45% marks.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as
    compulsory/elective subject.
  •  Bachelor‟s Degree with 45% marks and having participated in National or State or Inter-University competition.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with participation in international competitions.
  • Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates, i.e., trained physical education teachers/coaches).

 AGE: Not to be more than 25 years on 1st July 2020

Exam Pattern for BHU UET 2020

There will be a separate test for each course. However, there shall be a Common Entrance Test for the following courses:

B. A. (Hons.) Arts and B.A. (Hons.) Social Sciences
  • On paper, 120 minutes (Two hours) duration.
  • Total Marks  360 marks Question type: MCQ 120 questions.
 B. Com. (Hons.)/B. Com. (Hons.)-Financial Markets Management
  • Similarly, for this course –  one Paper of 150 minutes (Two and half hours) duration
  • Total marks 450 marks
  • Question type – MCQ (150 questions.)
 B. Sc. (Hons.): (Maths group)
  • One Paper, 150 minutes (Two and half hours) duration
  • Total marks 450 marks- !50 MCQ
 B. Sc. (Hons.): (Bio group)
  • One Paper of 150 minutes (Two and half hours) duration
  • Total Marks 450 marks – 150 multiple-choice questions.
B.ED/ B.ED in Special Education
  • One paper of 150 minutes (Two and half hours) duration
  • Maximum 300 marks- 100 Multiple Choice Questions.

NOTE – Candidates will be required to appear in the group for which he/she has given an option in the application form on the basis of his/her eligibility. Each group will have 70 MCQ.

LL. B. (Hons.) (06 Semester -3 Years)
  • One Paper of 120 minutes (Two hours) duration
  • Total of 450 marks containing 150 multiple-choice questions.
  • The Paper will also include two sets of multiple-choice questions on Language comprehension, one each in Hindi and English.
B.A. LL. B. (Hons.) (10 Semester-5 Years)
  •  One Paper of 120 minutes (Two hours) duration
  • Total of 450 marks containing 150 multiple-choice questions.
  • In addition, this paper will include multiple-choice questions on English comprehension.
B. P. Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education) [04 Semester- 2 Year]
  • ONE THEORY PAPER comprising 100 multiple-choice questions
  • Duration: 90 minutes (one and a half hours)
  • Total 300 marks.

NOTE:  Appearance in both Theory and Physical Fitness Test is mandatory in order to be eligible for consideration for admission.

Conclusion

Banaras Hindu University has postponed the UET Exams 2020. these exams were to be held from May 18, 2020. But, to control the pandemic situation of Covid-19, the exams stand postponed. BHU will soon update about the new exam dates for the Undergraduate Entrance Exams 2020.
