It is a science-fiction comedy and is an alternative to Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. Dean Parisot is the director and the writer being Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Officially the script of the respective film was out in 2010 but there was an issue with the distributor. In May 2018 it entered pre-production commencing on July 1, 2019.

In the year 1989’s Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure, Carlin played the character of Rufus, Bill and Ted were the guides and they roam around through history to collect historical faces for their history class project PPT. Carlin then was in the death phase in the year 2008. This phase brings us to the new clip introducing Kristen Schaal in the former Rufus role who arrived in a time-traveling pod to wish Bill and Ted.
