This sudden change happened after the producer said that white actors will not do the voice over for non-white actors. This policy on voicing the non-white actors happened three months ago. Fox TV has not confirmed if Alex Désert will continue to be a part of the show. The producers and the directors said that “We are very pleased to welcome Alex Désert, playing Carl in the Simpsons season premiere,”.

Moreover, the show has faced a lot of criticism on Indian convenience store owner Apu Nahasapeemapetilon. Apu’s voice is done by Azaria in the Simpsons. Hank Azaria is an American actor, comedian and producer.

Alex Désert is an American actor and musician. He has worked in various TV series such as The Flash, The Heights with Jamie Walters, Becker with Ted Danson, and Boy Meets World.
