The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka exam has been published its brand new dates for their COMEDK 2020 examination. Reportedly, the new schedule for the undergraduate admission examination will be organized on Saturday, August 19th. Several Dates of COMEDK exam 2020-
Earlier, the authority decided several dates to take the exam but for the rising cases of Corona Virus Pandemic. They change the dates. At first, decided that COMEDK exam was conducted on June 27th. Then it was shelved for one month so, rescheduled the exam date on July 25th. This date also postponed and the new date August 1st published. However, now the authority published a new date on August 19th and also released the admit cards. The COMEDK exam 2020 will be organized into two slots. one is the morning slot from 9 am to 12 pm another is in the afternoon slot 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Almost for one hundred ninety engineering colleges in Karnataka take admission in undergraduate degree courses via COMEDK exam.
According to the report, for the ongoing academic year 2020 to 2021, the COMEDK exam 2020 will organize an online mode examination across India on Saturday, August 19th, 2020. All over India, almost Three hundred centers for Technical engineering programs are offered almost more than two thousands seats after the online counseling.
According to The NDTV reports, a plea challenging the COMEDK’s decision about organized the examination on August 19th has been already filled in the Karnataka High Court.
The plea seeks to withdraw the notification published by COMEDK on July 24th. The plea stated, as cited in reports, that there is no urgency in organizing the exam as National Testing Agency (NTA) has also rescheduled engineering and medical entrance exams and that might be organized in the upcoming September.

Eligibility Criteria for COMEDK –
- Subjects Criteria: Applicants should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English in Class 11th & Class 12th for engineering.
- Qualifying Examination COMEDK Exam: Applicants applying for COMEDK UGET must have passed Class 12th or any other equivalent examination recognized by the State or Central governments.
- Marks for Qualifying Examination: All general category applicants must have scored forty-five percentage marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also, must have passed the subjects individually too. SC/ST/OBC Applicants should have scored at least forty per cent marks in class 12
NOTE- Diploma applicants are not eligible for COMEDK UGET 2020.
Qualification for Architecture:
The applicants should have qualified any one of the architecture entrance exams (NATA or JEE Main 2020 Paper-II or equivalent) in 2020. There is no other entrance examination for the applicants applying for B.Arch degree programs.
COMEDK exam 2020 Mock Test-
The authorities have already published several mock tests of COMEDK UGET 2020 from February. In February there are five online mode exams that were organized. Applicants can practice and understand the pattern of COMEDK exam 2020 via the mock test of COMEDK UGET in the online mode. The mock test is useful to all applicants for practice purposes and also helps for assessment which is the weak point where applicants need to brush up their preparation. COMEDK exam 20 Counselling process-
Applicants who have achieved the success in the entrance exam can take part in the COMEDK 2020 counselling which is happening in an offline mode via a centralised single window format every year. There will be two rounds of counselling. also, followed by a spot round if any vacancies are found. Applicants take part in the counselling session of COMEDK 2020 will be required to follow the below-mentioned steps
Reporting:
Applicants will be required to report with a guardian.
Document verification:
Applicants will have to bring some of the necessary documents for verification purposes. So, the authority can check those documents. without these documents, they will not be allotted the seat.
Biometric and photo verification:
After that, biometric and photo verification, post which Applicants will be issued a COMEDK UGET registration slip.
Seat Allotment:
The Applicants will have to fill three choices of colleges and courses in the order of their preference. Based on the choices entered by the applicants and their COMEDK UGET 2020 rank, seats will be allotted.
Seat allotment and payment of academic fee:
Lastly, applicants have to accept the seat and pay the academic fees according to their preferable seats. In case of upgrading, applicants must first accept the seat allot and indicate their willingness to upgrade in the next round.
