DU admission 2020 : All over India, universities are waiting for lifting of lockdown. Corona virus cases are climbing at peak. Education system is facing problems. All entrance and semester exams are postponed. Everyone was waiting for DU admission 2020.


Tentative dates disclosure

DU admission 2020 for UG tentative dates has been released. Registration portal will be open from June 8 (10am) to June 30 (5pm). The last date will be 30th June, 2020 till 5 pm. 

Earlier, it was decided by the DU community. DU admission form for UG will register the candidates from April 2 to April 30 but Due to this pandemic Covid-19, DU registration portal was closed.

Reopening of portal

The portal will reopen from 31st july, 2020 to 9th august, 2020, for all students to update their class 12th marks.

Class 12th examination are also delay. So, results will be announced later. DU has given students an option to fill up the form and upload marks of class 12th later.

DU admission process

Delhi University has two ways for admission. One is through Merit- based. When class 12th board exams result get announced. After one week DU used to release form for the students.



Another one is Entrance-based. This is for some courses. You can check on official website of DU.

Cut- Off List tentative dates

Now, coming back to cut-off and further process of admission. DU has decided to do whole process of admission online. So, according to merit-based undergraduate admission.

The DU admission 2020 first cut-off is to be released between August 11 and August 14.

Other dates of cut-off



  • Second cut off list: August 18 (10 am) to August 20 (4 pm).
  • Third cut off list: August 23 (10 am) to August 25 (4 pm).
  • Fourth cut off list: August 28 (10 am) to August 31 (4 pm).
  • Fifth cut off list: September 3 (10 am) to September 5 (4 pm).
  • Special cut off: September 8 (10 am) to September 9 (4 pm).

The cut-off list depends on class 12th marksheet. ISC board has already finished with exams before lockdown. Now, CBSE will conduct remaining exams between July 1 to July 15.

DU cut-off list depends on vacant seat. It may be possible that list can decrease or increase.

National Test Agency (NTA)

Although, NTA has not yet updated anything on their official website. They will soon update it on their portals. The dates are tentative so, need to be finalised. This depends on lockdown and current situation build up by corona virus. NTA organises DUET exam every year.

Fees Structure




DU is a government college so the fees structure for admission is categorised in a fair manner:

  • General Merit-based registration fees – ₹250 
  • SC, ST, OBC, EWS registration fees – ₹100
  • Sports and ECA – ₹100
  • Entrance-based course registration fees (General) – ₹750
  • Entrance-based course registration fees (EWS, SC, ST, OBC) – ₹300

Sports and ECA certificate will be verified later. The dates for them will be announced. There will be special IT community to verify and testify your academics.
