Gboard app refers to the google keyboard application which comes along in most of the Android devices. Gboard has come a long way.
Recently, Google have tried to launch a few new features to the Gboard. Features include the GIF-support, floating keyboard, Google search, searching of emojis withing the Gboard and it also includes a translation to another language.
Also, Google recently has rolled out two new options to Gboard. The two latest features introduced are Pictures help in clipboard and Google Lens.
With the help of this latest feature, you can copy the picture and paste them on any supported fields you want to.
As google chrome v84 began to provide the copying feature on android. You might not be able to see the choice in different apps.
To copy the pictures from the recent displays you have to press hold the image. Then, select “copy” and then you can copy it where ever you want to.
Restricted apps
In January XDA reported that the Pasting functionality is restricted only to 21 applications. The list of the applications including those 21 applications are.
AOSP messaging, Facebook, Messenger Lite, Line, Viber, WhatsApp, OK, Zalo, Twitter, Hangouts, Badoo, Google Docs, Samsung Messages, Helo, Motorola Messages, Snapchat, Imo, Skype, Google messages, WeChat, VK
Another change is the Google lens. Google has introduced Google search performance in Gboard.there are people out there who are complaining about the results of Google.
As they think Google is eradicating their beloved Search performance from Gboard. The search accuracy of the Gboard is higher and more sensible than others.
Both picture pasting and Google lens are available to the android devices now. If it is not available in your device yet. You must check on the play store and update the application. And, you will get the update.
