Dr Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health and Family welfare declares a new app, Mausam App. This App will be functioning in both Android and IOS platform. It is a climate app responsible for climate forecasts and disaster warnings in India. This app was launched on the occasion of 14th Foundation Day celebrations of Union Ministry of Earth Sciences.

The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) gets the credit to design the New App.

Minister, Harsh Vardhan recently tweets, MAUSAM App is a mobile application which is entirely for the general public for getting instant weather information. The app is very simple and easy to notify on mobiles without any technical complications. People can have easy access to weather forecasts, radar images & also alarm of future weather events.

Specifications of This New Mausam App

The app will also forecast humidity, wind velocity, the temperature, and passageway for 200 cities. Additionally, it is going to present beforehand the climate forecasts for the succeeding seven days for approximately 450 cities.

Mausam App will give colour-coded alerts (Red, Orange, and Yellow) two times in a day for all included districts. It will signify the successive 5 days in the advance forecast. This new app would take a few seconds to open, as it updates with the current prevailing conditions. One can locate the present location on the house web page in addition to different particulars.

From the sidebar of the new weather App, one will be able to view the warnings to the metropolitan cities. If requires to see the forecast between cities, then one can go to the option of ‘Manage cities’ part.

Dr Harsh Vardhan also declares in an event, with a good amount of financial investment, this app has come into action. It develops with almost twice the present budget allocated for it. All the replacements of previous old observational networks are done and the new computing resources are introduced to procure the correct information.
