Google developed more communication tools under Gmail for its business users. After signup, early access to the new integrated workspace is available on G Suite for businesses. Google confirmed that the interface was tested with Colgate-Palmolive and ATB Financial with positive responses from both the organizations. Following a successful introduction of Google meet, more exciting features are being introduced into G Suite.
About the new features
In this new planned interface, G Suite business users can join a video call from a chat window. They can forward a chat message to their inbox, and also create a task from a chat message. Of course, all this can be done while staying under the same tab.
Javier Soltero, VP & GM, G Suite stated that core tools like video, chat, email, files, and tasks are being integrated for more easy access. This very idea of all communication tools under the same tab will boost real-time collaboration. There will be no hassle of switching between tabs while working for various needs.
Mail and Chat are also being merged. This means users can easily shift between chats and emails and search within chats as done in mails. Important events can be pinned with “do not disturb” and “out of office” settings. Chat rooms are being integrated with shared files and tasks, giving easy access to everyone included in a group. External collaborations can also be added making work easier.
Third-party apps, including Salesforce, Trello, and DocuSign can be also be accessed without hassles. Updates and reply within any kind of conversation across Gmail, Chats, and rooms can be obtained with a single click under one tab.
More features on the way
Furthermore, Google is also said to be working on integrating Chat, Meet, and Rooms for its enterprise users and also bringing some new features to its individual users.
