Gospel star Rance Allen of Monroe dies at age 71, Know Reason of Death and Everything Else

Gospel music singer Rance Allen of Monroe called the father of Contemporary Gospel Music,” has died The Church of God in Christ declared in a statement on Saturday. He was 71.

“Bishop Allen’s special vocal ministry has been an essential sound inside the Church Of God In Christ and Christendom,” that the Pentecostal–Holiness Christian denomination firm said in a statement.

“His present transcended the bounds of the musical genre since he remained a desired personality known as to perform on international places.”

Mr. Allen, a pianist, and guitarist formed The Rance Allen Group together with his brothers Tom, a drummer, and Steve, a guitarist, in 1969, according to a biography on his site.

The team was nominated for Grammy awards in 1981, 1991, and 2004 and inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1998.

In 2018 the team won Stellar awards called Conventional Duo/Chorus Group of the Year because of their recording”Live from San Francisco.”
