Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board exams were held from March 4th to 21st March. The results of the GSHSE Board Exam 2020 got delayed due to the coronavirus situation. But with things coming back to normal, the results for the same were declared yesterday.
GCSE BOARD: About
The GCSE Board is responsible for the registration and administration of schools in the state of Gujarat. This Board conducts all the exams for Higher Secondary and Secondary school in the State. Further, This Board was formed by the Gujarat Secondary Education Act, 1972.
GCSE BOARD EXAM 2020 RESULTS:
This year 3.7 Lakh students appeared for the GSHSE Board Exams 2020. Out of those who gave the exam 2.83 Lakh students have cleared the exam this year. The pass percentage this year is 76.29 %. Recently the results declared were for the Arts and the Commerce streams. The students can log in to the Board’s Official Website and check their results.
DISTRICT WISE PERFORMANCE
Patani in Gujarat has emerged as the best -performing district based on the pass percentage. The pass percentage in Patan is 86.27%. On the other hand, Panchmahal emerged as the lowest-performing district in the State. This year the girls outperformed the boys in the GSHSE Board Exam 2020 with 80.2 % girls clearing the exam. On the other hand, 70.97% of boys cleared the exam.

STREAM WISE PERFORMANCE IN GSHSE BOARD EXAM 2020 THIS YEAR
The results for the commerce and arts stream declared recently proved to be much better than that declared for the Science stream earlier. The pass percentage for the arts and commerce stream rose by 3.02% and reached 76.29% this year. On the other hand, the results for the Science stream came down by some percentage points.
Only 44 students got the topmost grade in the Science stream as compared to 522 students in the art and commerce stream. Around 270 schools have obtained 100% pass results.
In the GCSE Board Exam 2020 results obtained this year, Statistics recorded the lowest pass percentage. Further, Hindi recorded the highest pass percentage this year. 98% of students who took the Hindi exam, cleared it.
The Board has promoted all the students in Gujarat from Class 1 to 8 due to the coronavirus situation. The schools are set to reopen after August 15th.
