In this modern world technology has become an integral part of our lives. Education system across the world is also not left untouched by it.Technology has modified dynamics of Education learning and has upgraded education offering in major ways. 

In India, availability of economical smartphones, internet and computers are making education more accessible and inexpensive. As a result, people living in urban as well as rural areas are experiencing high quality learning.

An educational start-up in Chennai called QED, a few months ago wanted to test whether children learn better from bots or teachers. They did this simple experiment with around hundred to one hundred and fifty students . About 60% of students were recorded performing better when their doubts were cleared by bots.

Priya Ramakrishnan, a high school teacher in Bangalore, feels that “While technology has many uses, it cannot understand or fulfill the psychological needs of a child. It cannot teach empathy.” 

According to a recent report by Google and KPMG , the online education system in India will possibly reach $1.96 billion by 2021. In a report by Tracxn it was stated that in 2012 alone , there were 2,400 ed-tech startups in India.

A MOOC , is a course that is open to worldwide participants and is delivered online. Coursera and Udemy are famous examples. Digital education makes both students as well as teachers’ lives easier.

Khan Academy is also a digital platform which offers quality learning for free . It is a nonprofit online education platform.
