The business has started taking reservations for the 2023 Hyundai Verna in the Indian market at a low price of Rs 25,000. Customers in India who are seeking to purchase the new Verna can do so by visiting the official website or their local Hyundai store.
“Today, we pleased to announce that reservations for the brand-new Hyundai VERNA, the newest version of our iconic sedan”, have begun. According to Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., “VERNA has a resilient legacy of 16 years, garnering over 4.6 lakh delighted customers throughout diverse parts of India.”
What do the teasers indicate about the new Hyundai Verna?
The look of the new Hyundai Verna is different, and as the teasers show, it was influenced by a number of the company’s most recent generations of sedans.
The latest generation Hyundai Grandeur sedan sold overseas has a double-layer headlight setup with the new Verna, giving it a striking nose. The grille features many cuts and creases and is almost as large as the automobile. The current-generation Elantra car, which isn’t offered in our market, and the Tucson SUV both have grille inserts quite similar to these. In addition, the new Verna receives a full-width horizontal light bar that doubles as an LED daytime running lamp, a feature previously found on other Hyundai models including the Grandeur sedan and the Staria MPV.
The new Verna features more creases and cuts on the sides than its predecessor and looks a notchback more than a conventional sedan. As with previous Hyundai sedans sold overseas, expect more creases on the doors and fenders.
The new Verna’s tail lamps give it a distinctive appearance in the back. The tail lights have crystal-like inlays and are coupled to an LED light bar. The light bar also receives two vertical extensions on either side, giving the car a unique look. A similar arrangement could also be featured on Verna’s front design, though Hyundai hasn’t confirmed it.
Based on the manufacturer’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design, the next-generation Verna will go on sale. The sedan will receive:
- a tapered roof,
- a broad grille,
- a longer bonnet,
- dual-tone alloy wheels, and
- chrome inserts on the C-pillars
The sedan will have a sloping windscreen and wraparound LED tail lamps at the back.
The inside of the 2023 Hyundai Verna expected to spacious and packed with features like:
- Rear AC vents,
- USB chargers,
- Automatic temperature control,
- Keyless entry, and
- Multifunction steering wheel
Similar to the Hyundai loniq 5, the 2023 Verna will include a dual-screen infotainment system with the latest connection technologies as one of its standout interior elements. According to several media rumors, the new Verna will most likely equipped with more airbags and ADAS features for safety.
4 powertrains are available for the brand-new Hyundai Verna. The brand-new Hyundai Verna offered by Hyundai with a new 15 Turbo GDi Petrol engine and a 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) or 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (7DCT).
Additionally, the business still sells the old 1.5 MPi petrol engine. This is suitable with both a 6MT and an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IV1). These engines are all RDE-compliant and ready for £20 fuel.
Hyundai will provide the Verna in four trim levels for 2023: EX, S, SX, and Sx (O).
The 2023 Hyundai Verna will come in 7 monochromatic, 2 dual-tone, and 3 brand-new single-tone color options. Abyss Black, Atlas White, and Tellurian Brown are three new color choices.
Expected Price of Hyundai Verna 2023
In contrast to the current model, which has an ex-showroom starting price of Rs. 9.64 lakh, the new Hyundai Verna will be a little more expensive.
There will be manual and automatic gearbox choices. The 2023 Verna sedan will have ADAS-enabled features and conform to Hyundai’s new “Sensuous Sportiness” design language, making it the first sedan in its category to do so in India.
The new Verna expected to go on sale in India shortly after making its debut in other markets next month. It will compete with vehicles like the Maruti Ciaz, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia. Aiming to create about 70,000 units annually, most of which will be exported.
