What do the teasers indicate about the new Hyundai Verna?
The look of the new Hyundai Verna is different, and as the teasers show, it was influenced by a number of the company’s most recent generations of sedans.
The latest generation Hyundai Grandeur sedan sold overseas has a double-layer headlight setup with the new Verna, giving it a striking nose. The grille features many cuts and creases and is almost as large as the automobile. The current-generation Elantra car, which isn’t offered in our market, and the Tucson SUV both have grille inserts quite similar to these. The new Verna features more creases and cuts on the sides than its predecessor and looks a notchback more than a conventional sedan. As with previous Hyundai sedans sold overseas, expect more creases on the doors and fenders.
The new Verna’s tail lamps give it a distinctive appearance in the back. The tail lights have crystal-like inlays and are coupled to an LED light bar. The light bar also receives two vertical extensions on either side, giving the car a unique look. A similar arrangement could also be featured on Verna’s front design, though Hyundai hasn’t confirmed it.
Design
Based on the manufacturer’s “Sensuous Sportiness” design, the next-generation Verna will go on sale. The sedan will receive:
- a tapered roof,
- a broad grille,
- a longer bonnet,
- ORVMs,
- dual-tone alloy wheels, and
- chrome inserts on the C-pillars
The sedan will have a sloping windscreen and wraparound LED tail lamps at the back.
Interior

Engine
4 powertrains are available for the brand-new Hyundai Verna. The brand-new Hyundai Verna offered by Hyundai with a new 15 Turbo GDi Petrol engine and a 6-speed Manual Transmission (6MT) or 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (7DCT).
