IBPS RRB recruitment 2020

IBPS (The Institute of banking personnel) has released a detailed notification on June 30, 2020. To clarify, IBPS has released the much-awaited recruitment of RRB 2020 on its official site www.ibps.in

The Regional rural bank recruitment notification is for the post of office assistant, officer scale – I, II, and III. In addition to it, the institution has released 1000+ vacancies in RRB recruitment 2020.

Post Cadre For RRB Recruitment 2020

IBPS RRB recruits different candidates each year. The RRB releases its post cadre for various vacancies. In addition, in 2020, IBPS RRB has introduced more than 10000 vacancies.

Important Exam Dates for IBPS RRB

IBPS conducts examinations every year. The examinations are likely to take place in the month of October or November 2020. But, IBPS has released fixed dates to fill the application form.

• Last date to apply – July 21, 2020
• IBPS Prelims Exam Date – September / October 2020
• Online Examination ( Mains/ Single) – September / October 2020
• Conduct of Interview – October / November 2020

Last year, IBPS introduced 8354 vacancies for IBPS RRB 2019 Exam. The number of vacancies for the post of Office Assistant was 3688, and for the post of Officer Grade – I, II, III was 4683. The following are the details:

Eligibility criteria

The eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB recruitment differs for all posts. Therefore, applicants have to meet the requirements of eligibility mentioned in the official notification. So, the following are the details of the eligibility criteria. It includes the age, educational qualifications and all the other requirements.

Age (As on 01.07.2020)

• For Office Assistant – between 18 to 28 years
• IBPS RRB Officer Scale -I – Above 18 years but below 30 years
• For officer Scale-II – Between 21 to 40 years
• RRB Officer Scale – III – Above 21 years but below 40 years

AGE RELAXATION

• SC (Scheduled Caste)  / ST (Scheduled Tribe) – 5 years
• OBC (Other Backward Classes) – 3 years
• Persons affected by 1984 riots – 5 years
• Ex-servicemen – 3 years
• the person with disabilities – 10 years

In other words, for General category and EWS candidates do not fall in the age relaxation category.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have the required qualification to apply for the various IBPS RRB 2020 vacancies. The details are as follows:

For officer scale – I

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
• Secondly, Proficiency in local language as prescribed by RRB
• Desirable: working knowledge of computer.

Post Of Officer Scale-II 

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent. Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

NOTE – Candidates should have two years experience in a bank or financial institution.

Post of Office Assistant

• Firstly, a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
• Basic and working knowledge of computer.
• Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.

 For Officer Scale – III

• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent. Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
• In addition, a minimum five years experience in banking or finance.

NOTE –  However, IBPS RRB will prefer candidates with the degree in the following fields:

• Banking

• Finance
• Marketing
• Agriculture
• Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry
• Science, Pisciculture, Agricultural Engineering
• Veterinary, Information Technology, Marketing and Co-operation
• Management, Law, Economics, and Accountancy.

Application Fees

Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode only. The fee for all posts is less for SC and ST. But, the fee is different for other categories. The details are as follows:

For Officer Scale – I, II, and III

• Rs. 175/- for SC/ ST/ PWBD candidates.
• Rs. 850/- for all others.

For Office Assistant ( Multipurpose)

• Rs. 175/- for SC/ ST/ PWBD candidates.
• Rs. 850/- for all others.

Note – Certainly, candidates will have to bear the bank transaction charges for the online payment of application fees.

Online Examination Structure

IBPS RRB follows a certain examination structure through online mode of examination. In other words, candidates will give the exam online. IBPS conducts preliminary and Main examinations.

Preliminary Examinations

For Office Assistant ( Multipurpose )

1. Reasoning – 40 questions, 40 marks
2. Numerical ability – 40 questions, 40 marks

Total – 80 questions, 80 marks

For Officer Scale – I

1. Reasoning – 40 questions, 40 marks
2. Quantitative aptitude – 40 questions, 40 marks

Total – 80 questions, 80 marks

Most importantly, candidates need to obtain the minimum cut-off marks to qualify. Further, IBPS RRB will shortlist the candidates for the main exam.

• After that, click on the post link you are applying for.
• To register yourself, click on  “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION”.
• Further, upload the following – Photograph, signature, left thumb impression, a handwritten declaration
