Joe Biden is now the official candidates for 2020 Presidential elections from Democratic Party. He will be competing against the current US President Donald Trump in the upcoming elections.
Biden confirmed this on Tuesday through Twitter. He tweeted “It is the honor of my life to accept the Democratic Party’s nomination for President of the United States of America”. This sentence is followed by a #DemConvention. The former vice president gained enough support from the party to become the candidate of Presidential elections of 2020.

Joe Biden also thanked this family, friends and the other people who supported him. He said “It means the world to me and all this is because of you people.” This decision was made by the party on Tuesday through a video conferencing. Joe Biden gave a nomination speech followed by this conference. He was competing against Bernie Sanders in between the party elections.
3,558 delegates supported Joe Biden in the video conference. The four-day convention was largely virtual due to the corona virus. Delegates from around the country cast votes remotely to confirm Biden as the nominee. Biden has also announced Kamala Harris as his running mate. Kamal Harris is the first black woman and first Indian origin woman to contest for US presidential elections.
According to reports announcing Kamal Harris as his running mate, Joe Biden may secure votes from black people. This is a great tactic after the trend of black lifes matter. People also say this will be a critical step to get along with the black people migrated from various part of the world to the US.
