The “Enter the Dragon” and “Nightmare on Elm Street” actor John Saxon, died this Saturday evening, at the age of 83. John Saxon death happened because of pneumonia in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Saxon has played various authentic roles during his long career.

John Saxon has been the most recognizable faces in the Hollywood, especially in the western, horror and action genres. He has worked on about 200 projects in his long span of acting career. Some of the most popular roles being in the 1973 classic, Enter the Dragon, the bruce lee era of martial arts. The 1984 classic role of Wes Craven in the popular movie “A Nightmare on Elm Street”.

Born on 5th of August in 1936, in Brooklyn, NewYork, a young Italian American had keen interest in acting. He learned acting skills with famous acting coach Stella Adler after graduating from 1953. At the age of 17, young Orrico entered into Hollywood and was renamed as John Saxon. John Saxon was pretty proficient in Judo and Shotokan Karate.

Young Saxon started with the Mamie Van Doren movie in Running Wild (1955). John also appeared as a young rock and roll musician in “Rock, Pretty Baby” in 1956. John Saxon was famous for showing off his macho and charisma, co-starred along with Clint Eastwood in Joe Kidd (1972). He also played a rigid and dirty union lawyer in Andrew Mclaglen’s Mitchell (1975) and in a bollywood movie.


John Saxon got married three times, first wife was Mary Ann Murphy who was a screenwriter in 1967. He then got married to Airhostess turned actress Elizabeth Saxon in 1987 and got sperated in 1992. Lastly he got married to Gloria Martel in the year 2008. This Saturday evening, Gloria gave the information about John Saxon death.
