Controversy and Donald Trump go hand in hand. Especially since elections are just around the corner, Trump is making a lot of heads turn at his campaigns. Be it belittling Joe Bidden or promising space advancements, Trump has done it all in his campaigns. Last night, Trump went on to term Kamala Harris as ‘not competent’ to become the first female vice-president of the US. His daughter- Ivanka Trump- would better fit in that role, Trump stated.
Kamala Harris’s candidature
Kamala Harris has successfully become the first women of Indian origin to run for the Vice President post of the US. She is also the first women of black origin to run for such a post. Harris is actually a lawyer and has been serving as the junior US senator since 2017. She is now backing up Joe Bidden in the 59th quadrennial presidential elections. If she wins, she will be the first female Vice President of America.
Harris had been a competitor for the Presidential post until last year when she finally gave up on it due to lack of popularity. But now she is gaining much popularity after her nomination for the vice-presidential post. However, many even termed her nomination as a vote bank strategy to attract people of Indian origin.
Trump’s statement
President Trump spoke about it all on one of his campaigns last night, on August 28. Trump said that he was very impressed with the idea of having a female Vice President fr the first time in America. But, he also mentioned, that his daughter, and senior White House advisor, Ivanka Trump would be better suited for that role.
About Kamala Harris, President Trump said, “She’s not competent”. His supporters greeted him with applause at this, some of whom even started shouting Ivanka’s name. He also took a dig at Kamala dropping out of Presidential election due to her lack of popular support. HInting at her possible nomination for the 2024 Presidential elections, Trump said that he did not support that idea.
This is typical Trump behaviour who never shies away from falsely accusing black people.
