Kanye West, rapper, and husband of reality TV star Kim Kardashian tweeted a public apology to his wife. On Saturday he wrote on twitter, “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”
Kanye’s apology comes after five days since he shared a series of cryptic messages about his wife and family. The rapper claimed that his wife tried to lock him up and he was considering a divorce.
Response to allegations
Following West’s comments, Kardashian asked for “compassion” and empathy from the public in regards to her husband’s public statements. Kim said he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
Referring to Kanye, she wrote on Instagram,”He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bi-polar disorder. Those who are close to Kanye know his heart and understand his words some times do not align with his intentions.”
Kim has not yet publicly responded to Kanye’s apology. However, she liked a comment of a follower who wrote, “I love you both so much.”
At the same time, Kanye also followed up his message with a teaser of his new album Donda – named after his late mother. Not to mention, this was supposed to be released on Friday but was postponed. Afterall, several friends including Dave Chapelle, Damon Dash, and Justin Bieber went to visit him at Wyoming ranch.
The couple married six years before, and are parents to four children.
