Korean pop boy bang member, Lee Hongbin leaves the boy band, VIXX. The Jellyfish entertainment revealed a statement on 7 August 2020. The K-Pop singer left the boy band over the drunk live streaming on, Twitch.
Statement by Jellyfish Entertainment
The Jellyfish Entertainment released a statement that said,
“Firstly, we’d like to thank all the fans who love VIXX, and we’re sad to bring you sad news. Hongbin has announced his intention to leave the team after 7 years. After careful discussion with the other VIXX members and Hongbin, we decided to respect his opinion and let him leave the group.”
However, VIXX will continue to function as a five members group.

Hongbin’s actions
On 1 March 2020 Hong-Bin was high on alcohol. In that state he was live on Twitch. In the live stream, he said,
“I would have punched the choreographer”
His above statement was in relation to ‘INFINITE‘s ‘Be Mine’. In addition, he also showed ‘the finger’ in the public. The next day Hongbin uploaded another video to apologize for his action. He said,
“I think it was my mistake. Everything was my mistake. I started streaming on Twitch because I wanted to broadcast my gameplays, so I have been cautious not to mention anything related to my primary job. But I was high on alcohol last night. I wanted to differentiate my persona as a Twitch streamer from my idol persona but I ended up crossing the line.”
Regarding, his statement on the K-Pop band, INFINITE he said,
“As a fan of the group, I thought their choreography and performance could be better. I think they are capable of so much more. Didn’t mean to discredit any group. I just wanted to share some thoughts as someone in the industry.”
Hongbin was not allowed to participate in any entertainment activity.
