The players need to be found negative in all 6 tests taken by the BCCI (IPL Governing Council), UAE government and the franchises to be able to start practice. If the player is found positive in any of the tests then the player will be quarantined for the respected days as per the law given by UAE government.
Most of the franchises have already asked the players to get ready to be quarantine and assemble somewhere in India according to the franchises. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is set to leave for UAE on 22nd August while most of the other might leave on 20th August itself.
“The BCCI has said every fifth day testing in UAE but if franchises want, they can ramp up the rate. As we have said earlier, any upgrade on the SOP is welcome. However, there is very less chance of the quarantine period getting reduced (from the mandatory six days),” a BCCI official said.
