Manhunt Deadly Games: The true story

Have you ever wondered how “Manhunt Deadly Games” came into being? What is the real truth behind this CBS series? It’s been seven months since the Show debuted on Spectrum Original, now it is back as of 21st September on CBS. The series is inspired by real-life events and is a true-crime series. Manhunt deadly games take a closer look at the twisted criminals and follows the story of brave souls who capture them.

Like the previous season, this season will also tell a true story. This time around it will tackle the 1996 bombing events of Atlanta’s Olympic Park. The real event injured 100 people while killing one person. This season will dive into the lives of two suspects   Park security guard Richard Jewell and Eric Rudolph. After being a suspect for the bombing Jewell had to face a ruthless media trial. And Eric had not emerged as a suspect before 1998. Recently a Clint Eastwood movie is also based on the same story. But while the movie is more focused on Richard, Manhunt Deadly Games is the story of Eric Rudolph.

The True Story!

In reality, the timeline of the two suspects does not coincide. As Rudolph did not appear as a suspect till 1998, but to convey more emotions CBS intertwined the timelines. Rudolph was arrested in 2003 for the Olympic Park bombing and two others.

“True story behind the series”

The story of Rudolph’s capture really lives up to the name Manhunt Deadly Games as it took 5 years to capture him. Rudolph had managed to hide from the police in the North Carolina forest. The epic hunt was 5 years long and the deadly part is the way Rudolph survived in the forest.

Rudolph was arrested by accident as a police officer in Murphy was responding to the robbery. But he found Rudolph stealing out of a dumpster, he was thin but looked fit. After pleading guilty to get out of the death penalty he told the police where he had hidden 250 dynamites. In 2005 Rudolph revealed why he had bombed the park, the abortion clinic, and the lesbian Gay bar. It turns out he was anti-everything and thought government, homosexuality, and abortion should be ruthlessly opposed.

Well, that was the story behind the CBS series.

Remember folks Manhunt Deadly Games starts Monday at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT on CBS.
